Global Cost Pressures Lead ifm to Adjust Prices from July 2026

ifm electronic gmbh will introduce a general price increase of 2.0%, effective July 1, 2026, in response to ongoing global cost pressures.

The company stated that rising logistics expenses remain a major factor. 

Geopolitical developments, constrained trade routes, and higher fuel and handling costs have increased expenses for both incoming materials and outgoing deliveries.

Another key factor is the memory market. 

Rapid growth in AI applications and data centres continues to drive strong demand for memory components, while available production capacity remains limited in the short term. 

As a result, component prices have remained under upward pressure.

ifm noted that it has worked to secure the supply of critical components and ensure stable delivery performance for customers. 

While these measures support supply reliability, they have also increased costs. 

The company said the adjustment will be applied broadly across its product range, while selected areas such as software and services will remain excluded.
