The toxic transmitter is designed to work with compatible Sensepoint XCD toxic sensor cartridges. The target gas and measurement range must be selected separately. Honeywell states that the transmitter recognizes a compatible installed sensor within its category and configures itself accordingly.

After sensor installation, qualified personnel must perform the specified setup, calibration and bump or gassing test to validate the complete assembly. Automatic recognition is not a substitute for functional testing or site acceptance.
