ABB China will revise prices for parts of its Smart Power and Smart Buildings range from August 26, 2026, reflecting sustained electronic-component and operating-cost pressures.

AFFECTED BUSINESS AREAS

The update covers selected equipment in ABB's Smart Power and Smart Buildings businesses. These portfolios support applications such as power distribution, circuit protection, electrical control and intelligent-building infrastructure. Portfolio pricing is expected to rise by approximately 3%–5% overall, although the actual adjustment varies among product families.

COST AND AVAILABILITY CONTEXT

ABB's notice points to sustained increases in the cost of key electronic parts, supply constraints and higher manufacturing and logistics expenses. The company says it has continued to commit resources to sourcing, inventory and supply-chain coordination in order to safeguard delivery performance and maintain product and service standards.

After reviewing these market conditions, the company determined that a price revision was necessary. Customers should consult the latest price schedule because not every product line carries the same adjustment.

ORDER TIMING AND BUDGET CONTROL

The new pricing takes effect for orders generated beginning August 26, 2026. The notice states that qualifying orders placed before that date will retain their original price and normal delivery timing. Procurement teams should nevertheless confirm order acceptance, scope and delivery terms with their supplier.

For projects still in the quotation stage, it is advisable to update cost baselines, confirm lead times and identify critical ABB models early. This is especially important for multi-panel projects or building-automation packages where a modest unit-price movement can have a larger aggregate effect.
